Dr. Halvorsen grew up in Maitland and opened Tallowood Family Dental in 2009, after nineteen years as an associate in Orlando. She still does most new patient exams herself.
She keeps the first visit at a full hour. She shows every X-ray on the screen beside the chair and explains what she sees before she suggests anything.
On Saturday mornings she rows on Lake Maitland.
